Short Bio: Leonardo Ferreira is a professor in the Aeronautical Engineering course and in the professional master’s in Civil Building Systems at FUMEC University in Brazil. He obtained a B.S.E. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais – UFMG (Brazil) in 2013 and 2016. Currently, he is a PhD student in Structural Engineering at UFMG with a Sandwich Doctorate scholarship at Instituto Superior Técnico from University of Lisbon (Lisbon, Portugal) (2022). His research covers structural health monitoring (SHM), composite materials and numerical models to enhance machine learning algorithms applied to SHM.
