Short Bio: Douglas Bueno is an Assistant Professor at FEIS UNESP in the Mathematics Department and Research Fellow from National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/Brazil). He received his B.S.Eng. (Hons) in 2006 and M.Eng. (2007) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from FEIS UNESP, and his Ph.D. (2014) in Aeronautical Engineering from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (Brazil). He was Visiting Researcher at Duke University (USA) (2019-2020). He served EMBRAER SA as engineer in the Technological Development Department and PSA Peugeot Citröen as product development engineer with experimental tests in prototype vehicles. His research ranges over the topics of aeroelasticity, smart materials, wave propagation, nonlinear dynamics and structures. He is focused on creating mathematical and computational models of fluid-structural interaction with applications to aerospace vehicles, including gust alleviation, vibration control and structural health monitoring.
